Handmade Christmas

I have decided this Christmas to make most of my Christmas presents for my family and to be honest I have really enjoyed doing so. I also had a go at designing and making my own Christmas cards which have sold well at the Christmas craft fairs and also on my Etsy shop. I have also traded gifts with other stall holders at some of the craft fairs I attended in October and November. So here is a selection of what I have made so far...

Autumn is here

The months seem to rush by and its Autumn already - there’s a nip in the air and the mist is gathering in the mornings. I had a glorious walk round my local field with the dog this morning at took this photo at around 7am.

Its been a fantastic summer with long sunny, warm days and I feel I have really made the most of being outdoors. My hubby’s project was to create an outdoor room which we could sit in the evenings gazing out over our field and just chilling in the summer evening sun. This is where I sat most mornings and evenings with my cuppa and I will miss this view now the evenings are drawing in. On a plus I and looking forward to spending my evenings up in my craft room creating ready for the craft fairs coming up in October and November!

Dorset Team Craft Fair at Hoburne Park

Its been a while since I have written on my blog and I do apologise  but I have been totally hooked on the wonderful community on Etsy since I set up my new shop on there back in February.

The Dorset Team is 140 strong members of talented arts and craft people from the Dorset area and I have spend many evenings chatting and learning from them all which has been such an eye-opener. I think I have learnt more in the last two months from the team than the last two years working in my day job, in the marketing department at Hoburne Holiday Parks.

I feel I know them all so well yet we haven't even met - ahh but we will very soon as a number of us are all getting together to do a Craft Fair on the 7th July at Hoburne Park in Christchurch. Very exciting and a wonderful opportunity to meet everyone face-to-face.

So watch this space as I will feature some of the talented individuals from the Dorset Team, make sure you pop the date in your diary if your in the Dorset area!

I have finally opened my Etsy shop and couldn't find the right packaging for my jewellery so I have has a go at making my own pillow boxes, very easy and I will customise them too
